Mission

Humanity’s greatest civilizations were built because people refused to accept discomfort as inevitable. We chose to confront problems—and in solving them, we created the technological world we live in today.

Yet in one critical area, humanity has remained silent: the injustice of physical aging and disability. We all grow older. We all grow weaker. The time we spend moving freely is far shorter than we imagine. Our ancestors faced it, our parents face it, and so will we.

But this is not destiny. It is not inevitable. It has endured simply because no one dared to solve it. Because everyone ages, we have failed to recognize how profoundly unfair it truly is.

Now, we will change that. We will give humanity the freedom to move—until the very last moment of life. We will transform a future once defined by decline into a future defined by hope.

We are not merely building technology. We are rewriting the destiny of humankind.

This is where Rebodis begins.
The name carries the meaning of “Re-Body”—to remake the body. Through technology, we seek to reimagine and redesign the human body. Aging and disability should not be accepted as fate; they are challenges we can overcome with innovation.

Keep moving, keep living.
To move is to live.
And to be alive means to have the freedom to move.

Today, we take our very first step toward this mission. This first step we take will, in the end, transform the future of humanity.

Our Story

REBODIS began with the soft robotics technology of the BioRobotics Lab at Seoul National University.
Dr. Sung-Sik Yun and Professor Kyu-Jin Cho decided to bring the lab’s achievements out into the world.

When we first started, the very idea of a “soft wearable robot” didn’t even exist.
Robots of that time were big, heavy, and uncomfortable—ignored even by those who needed them most.

We set out to break through those limits.

And we found the answer: the moment a robot becomes as thin and comfortable as clothing, people will choose it.

That’s when the real solution to aging and disability emerges.
Just as glasses naturally restore vision for those with weak eyesight, people with weakened bodies also deserve a solution they
can rely on without hesitation.

We envision a future where putting on a robot to regain lost mobility becomes as ordinary as wearing glasses.

So we redesigned the robot from the ground up.
By replacing rigid parts with soft materials, we created an entirely new paradigm—one that placed our lab at the forefront of soft robotics worldwide.

The soft wearable robots we developed are thinner, lighter, and more comfortable than anything before.
Our ultimate goal is to advance them until they are indistinguishable from everyday clothing.

Now, we are moving beyond the laboratory to deliver real solutions to the people who need them most.
